
Rural Mason Project
The Rural Mason Project is a flagship skill development initiative aimed at training rural youth in essential masonry techniques to support quality housing construction under government schemes such as PMAY–G (Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana – Gramin).
Implemented by ASMACS Skill Development Limited (ASDLT) since 21st February 2017, the project has been instrumental in strengthening grassroots construction capabilities across Odisha, enhancing local employability and contributing to rural infrastructure growth.
Project Highlights
- Total Blocks Allotted: 49
- Head Mason Training Completed: 42 Blocks
- Mason Training Completed: 7 Blocks
- Total Masons Trained: Approximately 1,500
Through this initiative, ASMACS Skills has empowered rural youth with hands-on construction skills, enabling them to participate in the creation of durable, quality homes and sustainable community infrastructure under national rural housing missions.
