PDOT (Pre-Departure Orientation Training) is a flagship initiative by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India, launched in 2018 to prepare Indian workers migrating abroad for employment with essential knowledge about their destination country. The program aligns with MEA’s motto: “Surakshit Jaaye, Prashikshit Jaaye, Vishwas ke Saath Jaaye”
ASMACS Skill Development Limited (ASDLT) is proud to be the first training partner approved by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to deliver Pre-Departure Orientation Training (PDOT) in India.
ASDLT’s Key Contributions to PDOT
- Developed the initial PDOT training content in multiple Indian languages (audio & video formats)
- Built the PDOT operational portal for MEA and MSDE integration
- Created mobile applications to support migrants traveling to ECR (Emigration Check Required) countries
- Established 3 PDOT training centers across 2 states
- Certified 32 Master Trainers, approved by MEA for PDOT delivery
- Trained over 200,000 candidates for overseas employment, enhancing global workforce readiness
ASDLT continues to lead in migrant skill development, ensuring that candidates are culturally, legally, and professionally prepared for international opportunities.
Under the NSDC Market-Led Fee-Based Services Scheme, ASMACS Skill Development Limited (ASDLT)—an NSDC-funded partner since 2024—has committed to training 100,000 candidates over a 10-year period. Through this initiative, ASMACS has successfully placed more than 17,000 skilled professionals in overseas employment, demonstrating its strong global placement capabilities and alignment with NSDC’s quality and affiliation standards.
Currently, we have 2 training centres: one in Odisha – Cuttack, and another in Tamil Nadu – Madurai.

- ASMACS Skills received the “Best Partner in International Placement” award from the National Skill Development Corporation of India (NSDCI) in the year 2018.
DDU-GKY (Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana) is a flagship skill development and placement program by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, aimed at transforming rural poor youth into an economically independent and globally relevant workforce.
Launched on 25 September 2014, DDU-GKY is part of the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM). It targets youth aged 15–35 years from rural households, especially those below the poverty line, and provides them with free skill training, certification, and placement support.
Since 2016, ASMACS Skill Development Limited has successfully trained 12,090 youth under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), achieving a placement rate of over 78% across diverse sectors.

OSDA (Odisha Skill Development Authority) is the apex body established by the Government of Odisha to coordinate, implement, and monitor all skill development initiatives across the state. OSDA was created to unify various skill development efforts under one umbrella, ensuring that youth in Odisha receive high-quality, industry-relevant training that leads to employment, entrepreneurship, or further education.
ASMACS Skills has been a trusted implementation partner of the Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA), consistently delivering high-impact training and placement outcomes:
Project Performance
- 2018–2020: Successfully completed an OSDA project with a target of 600 candidates, achieving a placement rate of over 92% across key industry sectors.
- 2023–2024: Currently executing a new OSDA project with an expanded target of 2,200 candidates. The initiative is progressing steadily, with mobilization, training, and placement activities actively underway.

RTD (Recruit–Train–Deploy) is an innovative skill development model launched by the Bihar Skill Development Mission (BSDM) to directly align training with industry demand and ensure upfront employment opportunities for youth. RTD begins with recruitment based on employer demand, followed by customized training, and ends with guaranteed deployment.
ASMACS Skills has consistently demonstrated excellence in Recruit–Train–Deploy (RTD) programs, empowering candidates with industry-relevant skills and facilitating overseas employment.
Bihar (2016–2018 & 2018–2019)
- Trained over 300 candidates across 14 batches under RTD programs aligned with CSDCI (Construction Skill Development Council of India) standards.
- Achieved over 85% overseas placement, reflecting strong global demand for skilled Indian workers.
- Honored with the Best Placement Award by BSDM (Bihar Skill Development Mission), presented by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar.
- Continued success in 2018–2019, training 200+ candidates in 9 batches, again achieving 85%+ placement and receiving repeat recognition from BSDM.
Odisha (2024–2025 – Ongoing)
- ASMACS Skills has been awarded a new RTD project by Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA).
- The program is currently underway, with 2 batches successfully completed and a placement rate exceeding 90%.
- Training is focused on preparing candidates for international job roles, with a strong emphasis on practical skills and global readiness.

OSEPA stands for Odisha School Education Programme Authority. It is a government body responsible for implementing school education initiatives in Odisha. OSEPA is the nodal agency under the School & Mass Education Department of the Government of Odisha. It oversees the planning, execution, and monitoring of various education programs.
Under the Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA), ASMACS Skills has emerged as a committed training partner, steadily expanding its footprint in vocational education across government schools. The organization’s focus on skill-based learning—especially in sectors like Plumbing—has empowered students with practical competencies aligned to industry needs.

Expansion for 2025–2026
In the current academic year (2025–2026), ASMACS Skills has been entrusted with vocational training delivery across 79 schools, spanning multiple sectors beyond Plumbing. This strategic allotment by OSEPA highlights the organization’s credibility and readiness to scale vocational education in Odisha.
Under the Sagarmala Programme, ORMAS (Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society) is implementing a specialized training initiative for coastal youth in Odisha. This program focuses on maritime, logistics, and port-related skills to enhance employability and support coastal community development.
In 2017, ASMACS Skills was awarded the Sagarmala project, targeting the training of 140 candidates. The program focused on the Electrician trade, successfully training youth and achieving a placement rate of over 70%.
The BASUDHA project (Buxi Jagabandhu Assured Drinking Water to all Habitations) is a major drinking water initiative of the Government of Odisha. ORMAS (Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society), functioning under the Department of Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water, is primarily involved in promoting rural livelihoods and marketing of rural products. In the context of the BASUDHA project and the national Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), ORMAS is involved in capacity building and skill development.
In 2023, ASMACS Skill Development Limited was proudly awarded the BASUDHA Technician Training Project by ORMAS (Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society). This initiative is part of the state’s mission to strengthen rural water infrastructure and promote sustainable energy solutions.
ASMACS Skills was entrusted with the responsibility to train 1,078 youth across key districts in Odisha, equipping them with specialized skills in:

The Rural Mason Project is a skill development initiative aimed at training rural youth in essential masonry techniques to support quality housing construction under schemes like PMAY-G (Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana – Gramin).
ASMACS Skills started the project on 21st February 2017. The Rural Mason Training Project by ASMACS Skill Development Limited has been instrumental in building grassroots construction capacity across Odisha.

This initiative has empowered rural youth with practical construction skills, enhancing employability and supporting local infrastructure development.
The OSFDC (Odisha Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe Development Finance Co-operative Corporation Ltd) is a state-run initiative focused on economic upliftment and skill development for SC, ST, and scavenger communities in Odisha.
From 2017 to 2020, under the Odisha Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe Development Finance Co-operative Corporation Ltd (OSFDC) skill development initiative, over 2,000 candidates were successfully trained, with more than 80% placed across key trades under IPSSC, CSDCI, and the Healthcare Sector. The trades include Plumber General, Domestic Electrician, and Health Care & Multipurpose Worker—empowering youth with industry-relevant skills and sustainable employment opportunities.
The OTDS (Odisha Tribal Development Society) is a government initiative focused on improving the socio-economic conditions of tribal communities in Odisha through education, skill development, infrastructure, and livelihood support. OTDS operates under the ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department of the Government of Odisha.
Under the Odisha Tribal Development Society (OTDS), over 2,000 tribal youth have been successfully trained, with more than 80% placed across high-demand trades under IPSSC, CSDCI, and the Healthcare Sector. The training covered job roles such as Plumber General, Domestic Electrician, and Health Care & Multipurpose Worker—empowering tribal communities with market-relevant skills and sustainable livelihoods.
RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) is a government initiative that certifies individuals for skills they've acquired informally—through work experience, apprenticeships, or self-learning—without formal education.
ASMACS Skill Development Limited successfully conducted Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) programs in the Plumbing sector, training a total of 274 candidates across Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.
This initiative validated the existing skills of informal sector workers, enhanced their technical knowledge, and certified them under the Plumbing Sector Skill Council (PSSC)—empowering them with formal recognition and improved job prospects.
OSEMS (Odisha Skill Employment Mission Society) is a state-level initiative under the Skill Development & Technical Education Department of Odisha, focused on enhancing youth employability through structured skill training programs and employment-linked initiatives.
In the year 2016–17, ASMACS Skill Development Limited, under the Odisha Skill Employment Mission Society (OSEMS), successfully trained over 500 candidates in the Plumbing trade through two dedicated centers:
- Rajnagar – Kendrapara Centre
- Nischintakoili Centre
This was a placement-linked training program, designed to equip youth with practical plumbing skills aligned to industry standards. With a placement success rate exceeding 85%, the program has significantly contributed to local employment and skill development.
The initiative was primarily monitored by District Employment Offices, ensuring quality delivery, compliance, and effective post-training support.
ASMACS Skills remains committed to empowering Odisha’s youth through high-impact, job-oriented training programs.
Odisha Knowledge Corporation Limited (OKCL) is a public limited company established on September 12, 2011, jointly promoted by the Government of Odisha and Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL). It operates under the Electronics & Information Technology (E&IT) Department of Odisha. OKCL is a government-promoted organization focused on digital literacy and IT empowerment.
ASMACS Skills has successfully trained and certified over 300 candidates under its programs.
ASAP Kerala (Additional Skill Acquisition Programme) is a flagship initiative by the Government of Kerala aimed at enhancing the employability of youth through industry-relevant skill development and training.
In collaboration with the Additional Skill Acquisition Programme (ASAP), Kerala, ASMACS Skills successfully implemented a Plumbing Apprenticeship Program in 2015, targeting school-level students across the state.
A total of 217 students were trained in plumbing skills across 8 schools, fostering early exposure to vocational training and hands-on learning:

This initiative reflects ASMACS Skills’ commitment to grassroots skill development and its role in nurturing future-ready talent from a young age.
The Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) is a Japan-India initiative that sends Indian youth to Japan for 3–5 years of industry-based skill training, enabling them to gain global experience and return with enhanced employability. TITP was launched in 1993 by the Government of Japan and extended to India through a bilateral agreement signed in 2016. It is implemented in India by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), which empanels Sending Organizations (SOs) to recruit, train, and dispatch candidates to Japan.
ASMACS Skills has been officially awarded the status of a Sending Organisation under the Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), enabling skilled Indian youth to access global employment opportunities in Japan.
To support this initiative, ASMACS Skills has established dedicated Japan Language Training Centres in Odisha and Maharashtra, focused on preparing candidates linguistically and culturally for successful placement under TITP.
This strategic partnership reflects ASMACS Skills’ commitment to international workforce mobility and high-quality skill development aligned with global standards.
The Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) in Odisha is a dedicated initiative under the SC & ST Development Department, designed to uplift tribal communities through targeted socio-economic programs, infrastructure development, and livelihood support.
Under the ITDA Champua initiative, ASMACS Skills was entrusted with training 40 SC/ST candidates. The program was successfully completed, empowering participants with industry-relevant skills and enhancing their employability.
Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is India’s flagship skill development scheme aimed at empowering youth with industry-relevant skills to improve their employability and livelihood opportunities. Launched in 2015 by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and implemented by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), PMKVY provides free short-term training and certification in various job roles across sectors.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), ASMACS Skill Development Limited (ASDLT) has successfully trained 2,638 unemployed youth across various sectors. With a strong focus on placement-linked training, ASDLT has enabled a majority of these candidates to secure meaningful employment, contributing to India’s mission of building a skilled and self-reliant workforce.
The STAR Project (Standard Training Assessment and Reward) is a skill development scheme launched by the Government of India through NSDC to certify and reward youth for market-relevant skills. It was implemented by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
ASMACS Skill Development Limited (ASDLT) has successfully trained 2,601 unemployed youth across India, achieving a placement rate of over 70% in the year 2013 and 2014. These candidates were trained under various Sector Skill Councils, including IT-ITES, Plumbing, Retail, and Construction, ensuring industry-relevant skills and job readiness.
