
BASUDHA Project (Buxi Jagabandhu Assured Drinking Water to All Habitations)
The BASUDHA Project (Buxi Jagabandhu Assured Drinking Water to All Habitations) is a flagship drinking water initiative of the Government of Odisha. Implemented under the Department of Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water, it aims to ensure safe and sustainable drinking water access across rural Odisha.
ORMAS (Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society), functioning under the same department, plays a key role in livelihood promotion, rural enterprise development, and capacity building under the BASUDHA and Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) frameworks.
ASMACS Skills Involvement
In 2023, ASMACS Skill Development Limited (ASDLT) was awarded the BASUDHA Technician Training Project by ORMAS. This initiative supports Odisha’s mission to strengthen rural water infrastructure and promote sustainable energy solutions.
